We are pleased to announce that audio streaming service Spotify and fashion brand GU will be releasing a collaboration product.

This collaboration is based on the unique worldview of "what if imase opened a fictional record shop," and features fashion items with motifs of imase 's popular song jackets. Through the fusion of music and fashion, you can experience a new way to enjoy music that you can "listen to and wear."

This special collection created through this collaboration between the three parties will be available for purchase from Friday, May 16, 2025 at GU stores throughout Japan, as well as in Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, the USA and the online store.

In this collaboration, all items come with a Spotify Code on the label or price tag, which allows easy access to Spotify playlists. By reading the code with the Spotify app on your smartphone, you can access the official Spotify playlist "This Is imase," which features imase 's signature songs, providing a seamless music experience that connects fashion and music.

In addition, the cover art for the "This Is imase" playlist will be changed for a limited time to an original visual that expresses the world of this collaboration, and on May 16th, an exclusive video titled "Clips" in which imase himself talks about this collaboration will be released on his Spotify artist page.

GU will sell these collaborative items at its approximately 440 stores nationwide, as well as in other GU stores in Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, and the US, as well as its online store. Special store decorations to commemorate this project will also be implemented at the GU Shibuya store, Shinjuku Southeast Exit Flags store, and Soho New York store, so be sure to check them out.
